Padas
Each nakshatra is divided into four quarters called padas, of 3 degrees 20 minutes. That gives 108 padas in all. The padas follow the twelve signs in order nine times, which is how the navamsha chart is built. A pada page lists each quarter with the navamsha sign it falls in.
