Terms of service

1. Who we are

Jodiac, its paid API and its PDF reports are provided by Jodiac AI, Betul, Madhya Pradesh, India. GSTIN 23GBFPP0093E1ZU. Udyam registration UDYAM-MP-08-0026805. Contact: contact@jodiac.in. In these terms "we" means Jodiac AI. "You" means the person or company that creates an account, buys a report or uses the website.

2. What we provide

We provide Indian astrology calculations: a live sky, free tools, a paid API for developers and businesses, and PDF reports for individuals. Results are computed from published astronomical data (NASA JPL DE440) using the Lahiri ayanamsa and whole-sign houses. Astrological interpretations are traditional and are provided for reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and you must not present them as such.

3. Accounts and keys (paid API)

You must give correct details and keep your sign-in safe. An API key is shown once. You are responsible for everything done with your keys; revoke a key at once if it may have leaked. We may suspend an account that puts the service or other customers at risk, and we will tell you why where we can.

4. Plans, credits and payment (paid API)

Plans, prices, credits and request limits are those on the pricing page when you buy. Rupee prices are before GST; GST (18% at the time of writing) is added for customers in India and shown on your invoice. Customers outside India pay in US dollars and no Indian GST is charged on those invoices. A plan is activated when we have received payment and runs for the dates on your invoice. Credits are for that period only and do not carry over. When credits are used up the API stops answering paid calls until the next period, unless you have switched on extra use with a spend cap, which is charged after the period ends.

Plans renew every month. Depending on the plan and your bank, renewal is taken automatically (UPI Autopay, card, net banking e-mandate or PayPal) or by a payment link that we e-mail to you before the renewal date. You can stop renewals at any time in the portal; the plan then works until the end of the period you already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, the plan keeps working for a few days while you fix the payment, and then stops. Prepaid wallet money is used only for PDF reports ordered through the API.

5. PDF reports bought on the website

The price shown for a report includes GST. You enter your birth details and e-mail address, see a free preview, and pay on the page of our payment provider (Razorpay in rupees, PayPal in US dollars). We then prepare the report and e-mail you a download link, usually within minutes. The link works for a limited time; you can ask for a new link with a code sent to the same address for 90 days after delivery. You are responsible for entering correct birth details and an e-mail address that you can read. Reports are for reflection and entertainment.

7. Acceptable use

You must follow the acceptable use policy.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep the service available and aim for 99.5% availability of the paid API in a month, not counting planned maintenance announced in advance and problems caused by your systems or by third parties such as payment providers. This is a target, not a guarantee, and it does not give a right to service credits. Current status is on the status page. Support is by e-mail at contact@jodiac.in or through the contact form; we aim to reply within 2 business days. We may change or retire features with reasonable notice.

9. Our rights and yours

We keep all rights in the service and its software. You may use the results of the API in your own products. The city data comes from GeoNames (geonames.org) under CC BY 4.0, and you must keep that attribution if you show it. A PDF report is for your own use; you may not resell it as your own work.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service at any time. We may end it for breach of these terms. On ending, your keys stop working and we handle your data as described in the privacy notice. Records we must keep by law, such as invoices, are kept.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with its date. For a change that matters to account holders we give at least 14 days' notice by e-mail before it applies to them.

13. Law and disputes

Indian law applies. If something goes wrong, please write to contact@jodiac.in first; we will try to settle it with you. Courts at Betul, Madhya Pradesh, India, have jurisdiction.
